Lawn bowls come in many sizes and biases. They should be comfortable to carry, release and turn with the correct amount of bias that suits the player.
The teams are generallysingles, doubles, triples or fours.
First the jack is "bowled" down the rink by the player who won the toss, then both teams take turns to get as many of their bowls nearest to the jack to score points.
The winner is the team with the most points at the end of a pre-determined number of ends to be played.
The club has some experienced coaches who will pass on some skills to get you started, and then through playing you will develope your own skill set through observing others.
The club has a small annual fee which is set each year. They have sets of bowls and all other main components which you can borrow free of charge. It is then up to you if you wish to purchase your own through time.
