Our Facility
Looking for the perfect venue to host your next corporate team building event or family reunion in Calgary? Look no further than the Rotary Park Lawn Bowls Club. Our versatile space can accommodate parties, meetings, and corporate events for up to 150 guests. With our bowling greens capable of hosting up to 128 people for gameplay, and a season running from late-May to late-September, we provide the ideal backdrop for your gathering. Plus, the view of downtown Calgary from Rotary Park is simply unbeatable. Our facilities include a well-equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating, restrooms, a covered patio, and a gas barbecue. We provide all the lawn bowling equipment you need for a fun-filled experience. Convenient parking is available on-site, with additional paid options on adjacent city streets and in Rotary Park.
What We Provide
Two (2) bowling greens, each with eight (8) lanes, for a total of sixteen (16) lanes.
All lawn bowling equipment, including bowls, jacks, mats. Everything you need to bowl!
Full access to the Clubhouse, including washrooms, complete kitchen and fridge. A gas BBQ is also available.
A dedicated volunteer from our club on site to help with any questions, show you how to bowl, and help make your event a success!
What You Provide
A completed rental agreement obtained from our Rentals Coordinator when availability for your booking is confirmed.
A 50% deposit to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due on your event date.
Flat-soled shoes for anyone bowling to prevent damage to the bowling greens.
If you plan to serve alcohol, you must purchase a liquor licence and display it during the rental. Alcohol may only be consumed within the club’s fence/gates.
Provide any catering required. Our lot has room for a food truck, and we have a full kitchen.
Respect that our Club is located near a residential area.
Clean up and put away any equipment and kitchen supplies used and leave the facility in the same state that you found it.

Rental FAQs

We have a flat corporate rental fee of $800 for the entire facility. This fee includes access to the clubhouse, bowling greens and all equipment for a maximum of 4 hours.
If you require the facility for a longer period, each additional hour is $100 per hour.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

The cost of rental includes: two (2) greens, all equipment, clubhouse access (including kitchen and BBQ), plus volunteers from our club to show you how to play.

Yes! Event insurance is required for all rentals at our club.

We can host groups up to 150 people. The maximum number of people allowed on the greens at any one time is 128 people. If you have more than that, you will need to alternate play.

This is up to you! You can play in pairs, 3s or 4s.
Our greens hold a maximum of 128 people when playing in teams of 4.

We will do our best to accommodate, however our club is run on a volunteer basis and we may not be able to meet you prior to your event.

No, we do not provide catering, but you are welcome to bring in your food or catering! You can even use the parking lot to bring in a food truck.

Yes! Your rental includes the kitchen. And yes, there is a fridge to keep your drinks cool and food fresh!

Yes! You can configure the table and chairs, inside or outside, whatever way works best for your event!

Yes, parking is available on site.
There is also additional 2-hour parking available on 1st street NW, and pay parking just North of the clubhouse.
Please do not park in the backlane. We do our best to be good neighbours and not block access to garages.

Yes! You can serve alcohol at your event. You must supply your own alcohol.
Alcohol is not permitted outside the club fence/gates.
If you are serving alcohol, you must purchase a liquor license for your event. This is easy to do online!, from the AGLC website.

If you would like to come early to set up, we kindly ask that you please factor that into your total rental time. We may have multiple events on the same date, and we have a limited number of volunteers to attend events, so an early set up time is not always available.

Yes, a volunteer from our club will be available on site to make sure your event is a success!
The counter will be there to let you in, show you how to play and answer any questions you might have about the facility or the game!

Your group is welcome to dress how you want! However, only flat-soled shoes are allowed on the greens!

Yes! The password can be found on the clubhouse announcement board.

Yes! There are speakers available at the club, or feel free to bring your own speakers!
